The Great Dividing Range, or the Eastern Highlands, is Australia's most substantial mountain range and the third longest land-based range in the world. It stretches more than 3,500 kilometres from Dauan Island off the northeastern tip of Queensland, running the entire length of the eastern coastline through New South Wales, then into Victoria and turning west, before finally fading into the central plain at the Grampians in western Victoria.
We tour the NSW portion of the range.

World Heritage Listed Fraser Island - the largest sand island in the world and the only place on the planet where rainforest grows on sand! Spanning hundreds of kilometres, it's packed with off-road adventure, nature and wildlife experiences. It is approximately 250 kilometres north of the state capital, Brisbane.
If your time is short (3 days), spending time in just the Great Sandy Cooloola National Park is an option. This area provides beautiful scenery and experiences similar to Fraser Island

Rugged, remote, the Tip has one of the wildest tropical environments on the planet. The Great Dividing Range forms the spine of the Cape: tropical rainforests and palm-fringed beaches flank its eastern side, sweeping savannah woodlands, eucalyptus forests and coastal mangroves its west.
